Fells Point bar, restaurant opens new location in Towson

The Point, a Fells Point bar and restaurant, will open a second location in Towson.
The eatery, which serves modern American food in a casual atmosphere, is taking over the former site of the Crease, once a hangout for Towson University students.
The 6,400-square-foot space at 523 York Road has been renovated to create a "modern-industrial" interior with exposed beams, brick, timber and duct work, as well as garage doors and windows that can open onto the street when the weather is nice, according to Merritt Construction Services, the project's general contractor. About 90 percent of the space was overhauled during the renovations, which also involved installing new plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
The restaurant will feature a main bar with 11 televisions, high-top tables, a craft beer and cocktail bar, rear dining area, an exposed kitchen and a patio space. The hangout will offer live music, as it does at its Fells Point location.
