Award of Excellence - Interior Fit Out - Boys & Girls Club of Westminster

The Boys & Girls Club of Westminster (BGCW) needed a new facility to accommodate more children in their ever-growing waitlist and have room for their attendance to triple in growth over three years. Given this goal, it was essential for BGCW to find an additional club to meet this need within the community. They found a property at 71 East Main Street and called upon Merritt to make sure their vision became a reality. The building on 71 E Main Street was initially an outdated bank, which had been vacant for several years. BGCW saw the potential in the space with 12,014 square-feet spread across two floors.  They bought the property at auction and the renovation began soon after.

Overall, BGCW’s wanted the space to be fun and enjoyable for the children of the community. This was implemented with the multitude of dedicated rooms, bright furniture and paint, and over 2,800 square-feet of open, multi-purpose space. Merritt was able to bring the Boys & Girls Club of Westminster’s vision to life for the children of the community to enjoy for years to come.
